The goals and objectives of the Educational Resource Planning Community Education Committee include:
- Serve as a strong advocate for community public education planning as a means to offering equal educational opportunities for all students.
- Attend all meetings of the Community Education Committee.
- Participate in all meetings as a member of the community.
- Become knowledgeable about local, regional and national trends affecting resource planning for public education.
- Provide solid, objective facility and resource utilization considerations based upon the quantitative and qualitative resources made available to the Committee.
- Examine high performance solutions to utilization issues that promote a high level of student achievement in innovative and productive environments.
- Remain focused on big picture issues that support the overall objectives of the community-based Educational Resource Planning process.
- Create an Educational Resource Plan for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation that will address school and facility utilization considerations for a ten-year timeframe.
- Present the findings to the EVSC Board of School Trustees, the Superintendent of the EVSC, and the citizens of the City of Evansville and Vanderburgh County.
