Through participation in approximately eight work sessions, the 56-member Community Education Committee will objectively review, analyze and interpret information received from the Steering Committee in order to provide objective considerations to the EVSC Board of School Trustees and the Superintendent of the EVSC regarding facility and resource utilization over the next 10 years.

Seven school faculty/administration representatives and seven high school students, who were selected based on recommendations from school administration and the Evansville Teachers Association, represent local schools on the Community Education Committee.

Community members who submitted applications were will be chosen to fill 21 positions on the Community Education Committee. Additionally, 21 members were appointed based on recommendations from the Steering Committee to ensure that the broad needs and perspectives of our community are represented.

Consideration was given to ensure diversity on the Community Education Committee based on the following criteria:
